Product Manager - Customer Experience

About Us UMO is a stealth-mode FinTech venture aiming to evolve the way people experience money by building a unified, AI-powered, yet deeply human modern money platform across fiat, crypto, and investments - subject to regulatory approvals. The platform is being designed to break down traditional barriers to money across access, assets, and experience, enabling simpler, more adaptive ways for people to interact with financial services. We are currently developing our MVP and navigating licensing requirements, with a multidisciplinary team of 100+ people representing 20+ nationalities. With our headquarters in the UAE and offices in Portugal and Ukraine, we are united behind a shared ambition and a relentless focus on serving our customers. About this role As a part of our team, you'll help us shape a platform that works for One — a business owner, an artist, a freelancer. In this role, you will own the end-to-end customer experience in the UMO mobile app as one coherent journey, from the first screen of onboarding to everyday use of crypto and fiat features. We provide the room for you to exercise true product autonomy, stripping away micromanagement so you can deeply understand our customers, make the product simple, trustworthy, and effortless, and ship high-impact consumer journeys end-to-end. You'll take ownership of: • Deep Customer Understanding: Build a deep understanding of our customers: who they are, what they need, and what drives their trust and behavior with crypto and fiat. • Coherent App Experience: Design a coherent end-to-end experience in the app, from onboarding through everyday crypto use and the upcoming fiat features, so it feels like one unified product. • User Research & UX Testing: Plan and run user research, interviews, and UX/usability testing, turning qualitative and quantitative insights into clear product decisions. • CX Metrics & Conversion Optimization: Define key CX metrics, including onboarding conversion, activation, retention, and CSAT/NPS, owning their continuous improvement through experiments and iteration. • Compliance & Risk Alignment: Work closely with Compliance and Risk teams so that user journeys meet regulatory requirements without unnecessary user friction. • Cross-Functional Execution: Partner with Design, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to ship, measure, and iterate on core product features. • AI-Augmented Workflows: Model product management practices using modern AI tools (Cursor, Claude) as part of your daily workflow to accelerate user research synthesis, spec definition, and journey mapping. About you: • Fintech Product Management Experience: You bring experience in product management (4+ years), including at least 2+ years in B2C fintech with a mobile-first product. • Crypto Product Expertise: You bring hands-on experience with crypto products and a solid understanding of how crypto works, including wallets, custody, on-chain transactions, and the needs of retail crypto users. • Measurable Metric Impact: You have a proven track record of measurable improvements to user experience and key product metrics, such as conversion, activation, or retention. • UX Research Mastery: You possess practical experience planning and running user research, qualitative interviews, and UX/usability testing. • Data-Driven Mindset: You bring strong data skills, including funnel optimization, cohort analysis, A/B testing, and event tracking. • Regulated Onboarding Context: You bring a clear understanding of regulated onboarding frameworks and compliance boundaries inside financial products. • Autonomous Milestone Execution: You manage delivery expectations comfortably, choosing complete end-to-end problem ownership over simply executing standalone tasks. • Transparent & Respectful Collaboration: You communicate openly, prioritize mutual team respect and knowledge sharing, and enforce an absolute zero-tolerance policy for rudeness. • Linguistic Fluency: You speak and write English fluently to confidently communicate product vision and align cross-functional global teams. Can get you a few bonus points: • Regional Market Insight: Knowledge of MENA or emerging-market retail users. • AI-Powered App Features: Experience with AI-powered features in consumer apps, such as financial assistants, hyper-personalization, or LLM-based flows. • First-Time Crypto Onboarding: Experience building intuitive financial products specifically tailored for first-time crypto users. The UMO Standard: • Dynamic Work Environment: Vibrant offices and strong local teams across Lisbon, Dubai, Kyiv, and Lviv — with openness to remote for the right fit. • Rest & Recovery: 24 days of annual leave, dedicated paid sick leave, and observance of Public Holidays to keep you at your best. • Recharge Week: After your first year with us, enjoy two consecutive 4-day work weeks annually — a built-in reset to help you sustain peak performance for the long run. • Full Setup: Top-of-the-line hardware and a home office stipend so you can do your best work anywhere. • Growth Ecosystem: A dedicated learning budget and a clear, accelerated path toward executive-level leadership within the UMO ecosystem. • Impact & Ownership: Your work directly shapes the product and company direction — not just executes it.
