We are currently looking for a Senior Platform Consultant – Red Hat OpenShift, Ansible & Virtualization for an outsourcing opportunity, who can perform at the top of their game and join us in contributing to our continued success. Role Overview The Senior Platform Consultant will be responsible for designing, deploying, administering, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise Red Hat OpenShift and platform infrastructure environments. The role requires strong hands-on experience with OpenShift, Ansible, RHEL, virtualization, Kubernetes, networking, storage, security, automation, monitoring, and production infrastructure, with the ability to support complex enterprise environments and critical production migrations. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across the full platform lifecycle, from architecture and deployment through Day-2 operations, troubleshooting, upgrades, migration, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities • Design, deploy, administer, and maintain enterprise Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) environments. • Perform OpenShift deployments using IPI, UPI, and/or ABI across enterprise infrastructure environments. • Support OpenShift environments running on bare metal, VMware, Nutanix, GCP, and AWS. • Manage and troubleshoot disconnected/restricted-network OpenShift environments, including image and platform component management. • Perform OpenShift Day-2 operations, including: • Cluster monitoring and health management • Ingress and networking • Logging and observability • Backup and restore • Upgrades and maintenance • Troubleshooting and incident resolution • Disaster recovery and failover activities • Design and implement platform integrations covering networking, storage, identity, security, logging, monitoring, GitOps, and disaster recovery. • Administer and support OpenShift Virtualization, including VM deployment, migration, storage integration, templates, backup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. • Implement and maintain Ansible-based automation for infrastructure and platform operations. • Support Ansible Automation Platform, automation workflows, self-service automation, and Event-Driven Ansible where applicable. • Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments, including patching, hardening, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. • Perform production troubleshooting across Linux, OpenShift, Kubernetes, networking, storage, virtualization, and security layers. • Support critical production migrations, including: • Environment assessment • Migration planning • Dependency analysis • Rollback planning • Migration execution • Post-migration validation • Implement security hardening, vulnerability remediation, access controls, and platform security best practices. • Perform backup/restore validation, failover testing, and disaster recovery readiness activities. • Support enterprise automation and DevOps practices using technologies such as Git, Argo CD, Tekton, Terraform, Vault, Python, and Shell scripting. • Work closely with infrastructure, security, networking, application, and other technical teams to resolve complex platform issues. • Provide technical consulting, documentation, knowledge transfer, and customer-facing technical support where required. Technical Requirements • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, Linux, DevOps, or related environments. • Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). • Experience deploying and administering OpenShift in enterprise production environments. • Experience with IPI, UPI, and/or ABI OpenShift deployments. • Experience with OpenShift across bare metal, VMware, Nutanix, GCP, and/or AWS environments. • Experience with disconnected/restricted-network OpenShift environments. • Strong OpenShift Day-2 operations and troubleshooting experience. • Hands-on experience with OpenShift Virtualization. • Strong RHEL/Linux administration experience. • Experience with Ansible and automation. • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, networking, and storage. • Experience with authentication, authorization, security hardening, and vulnerability management. • Experience with enterprise monitoring, logging, and observability. • Experience with production migrations, backup/restore, DR, and failover testing. • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and consulting skills.
