Procurement Engineer

We are looking for a Procurement Engineer with solid experience in procurement, supplier coordination, material sourcing, and commercial evaluation for fit-out projects is a must construction exercise will add value. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing drawings and specifications, obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations, negotiating commercial terms, coordinating delivery schedules, and supporting project procurement requirements in line with cost, quality, and timeline objectives. Key Responsibilities: • Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, and procurement requirements • Source materials, suppliers, and subcontractors in line with project scope • Obtain, compare, and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations • Negotiate commercial terms, delivery schedules, and payment terms • Coordinate with estimation, design, and project teams for technical and procurement alignment • Prepare procurement comparison sheets and recommendation reports • Track material approvals, procurement status, and delivery schedules • Ensure procurement is completed on time, within budget, and in line with project requirements • Support cost control and reporting related to procurement packages • Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and supporting documentation • Handle multiple procurement packages and follow up with suppliers on critical timelines • Support management in procurement planning and vendor selection decisions Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in related field • Relevant experience in procurement for fit-out and/or construction projects • Good understanding of fit-out materials, specifications, and market rates • Ability to review drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications for procurement • purposes • Experience in supplier negotiation, comparison, and commercial evaluation • Good coordination and follow-up skills with suppliers, project teams, and subcontractors • Proficiency in Excel and procurement documentation • Good communication and reporting skills Preferred: • Experience in UAE market • Experience in luxury fit-out projects • Familiarity with procurement schedules, material approvals, and subcontractor • packages • Ability to work independently and manage multiple procurement packages Show more Show less
