Senior Civil Engineer

ENSEA FZCO is a Dubai-based engineering and project services company supporting energy and industrial projects across the UAE and internationally. We are hiring a Senior Civil Engineer for a major construction project in the UAE. The Role You will support the Company in delivering the civil works package: from the bidding stage and contractor selection through execution on site. The role combines project management responsibilities with hands-on site engineering and includes office-based engineering and administrative support. Key Responsibilities • Supervise day-to-day execution of civil works per approved drawings, specifications, and UAE standards • Read and work with design drawings, specifications, BOQs, and method statements; raise technical queries • Verify quantities; support BOQs, progress measurements, and interim payment records • Coordinate subcontractors and site teams; plan daily and weekly work fronts • Manage QA/QC: inspections, ITPs, material submittals and approvals, as-built records • Coordinate setting-out, earthworks, concrete works, and utilities installation • Manage scheduling, procurement follow-up, and interface coordination with the Client and consultants • Support the bidding phase: obtain and evaluate contractor quotations, prepare scope and commercial comparisons, support negotiations and the project budget • Support formation and mobilization of the project team: engineers, site supervision, subcontractor teams • Develop and maintain the project execution schedule; monitor progress against milestones • Monitor project expenditure against the approved budget; flag cost deviations early • Ensure HSE compliance: method statements, risk assessments, toolbox talks, permits to work • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and maintain site documentation • Handle project administrative tasks: correspondence, document control, meeting minutes, timesheets, procurement paperwork • Work from both the site and the office, depending on the project stage and priorities Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering • 7-10 years of experience in civil construction, including site-based roles • Experience in industrial, infrastructure, water treatment, oil and gas, or similar projects • UAE site experience and familiarity with local authority requirements strongly preferred • Strong command of construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, and quantity take-off • Hands-on QA/QC experience: inspections, ITPs, material approvals, site records • Experience supporting bidding: quotations, scope comparisons, contractor negotiations • Experience coordinating site teams and subcontractors; team leadership skills • Strong organizational, administrative, and reporting skills; able to represent the project in meetings • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; MS Project or Primavera P6 a plus • Good command of English; Arabic a plus • UAE driving license preferred We Offer • Competitive monthly salary, commensurate with qualifications and experience • Medical insurance in accordance with the Company's policy • Business travel, accommodation, and transportation covered by the Company • 6-month contract with the possibility of extension subject to the award of the underlying project contract Show more Show less
