Data Center Engineer

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer to manage, operate, secure, and optimize enterprise server and virtualization environments. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Linux administration, virtualization platforms, backup and disaster recovery, system hardening, and production data center operations. Key Responsibilities * Manage and operate enterprise Linux server environments. * Monitor server performance, availability, capacity, and reliability. * Administer virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere, Nutanix, and/or Microsoft Hyper-V. * Manage backup, restoration, and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions. * Perform system hardening according to cybersecurity best practices. * Manage operating system updates and Patch Management. * Identify and remediate server vulnerabilities. * Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and server-related incidents. * Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery exercises. * Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures. * Ensure the stability, security, and availability of data center infrastructure. Minimum Qualifications * Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in systems, servers, or data center infrastructure. * Strong experience in Linux administration. * Certification such as RHCSA or CompTIA Linux+. * Hands-on experience with one or more of: * VMware vSphere * Nutanix * Microsoft Hyper-V * Strong experience with Backup & Disaster Recovery. * Knowledge of System Hardening and Patch Management. * Experience operating enterprise infrastructure within production environments.
