OUR OPPORTUNITY We are seeking an experienced PMO Lead to join our growing software company. The PMO Lead will play a pivotal role in driving project management excellence and ensuring alignment with business objectives. This individual will oversee the Project Management Office (PMO), implement best practices, and enable efficient delivery of software projects that align with the company's strategic goals. YOU WILL » Establish, lead, and manage the PMO to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic vision. » Develop and implement project management standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks tailored to the software industry. » Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. » Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. » Provide strategic guidance and support to project managers and cross-functional teams. » Monitor project performance and identify areas for improvement through metrics and reporting. » Collaborate with senior leadership, clients, and stakeholders to define project priorities and objectives. » Act as a central point of contact for project escalations and resolutions. » Ensure clear communication of project status, risks, and progress to all stakeholders. » Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across multiple projects to minimize impact on timelines and deliverables. » Proactively address challenges and bottlenecks, providing effective solutions to ensure project continuity. » Optimize resource allocation across projects, balancing workload and availability. » Mentor and develop the skills of the project management team to achieve high performance. » Continuously evaluate PMO processes and tools to improve efficiency and scalability. » Incorporate feedback and industry best practices into the project management framework. Requirements » TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU NEED » Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). » 8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in the software industry. » Proven experience in managing large-scale software development projects in the MENA region. » PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is highly desirable. » Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and other software development methodologies. » Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams. » Experience in driving project governance, resource planning, and budget management to ensure delivery on time, within scope, and within budget. » Proficient in using project management tools and dashboards for performance tracking (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar tools). » Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. » Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master, or similar). » Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach to problem-solving. » Awareness of industry trends and a proactive approach to integrating innovative practices.
