Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support the Finance Department in financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. Key Responsibilities • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial transactions. • Handle daily accounting entries, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries. • Prepare and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records. • Perform regular bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations. • Prepare monthly closing schedules and assist with monthly and annual financial closing. • Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other financial documents. • Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up on pending balances. • Assist in preparation of monthly management reports, financial statements, and accounting schedules. • Verify invoices and supporting documents before processing payments. • Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records. • Assist with payroll-related accounting and reconciliation where required. • Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring activities. • Monitor expenses and identify discrepancies or unusual transactions. • Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, customers, banks, and auditors when required. • Assist with VAT and other statutory financial requirements in accordance with applicable Qatar regulations. • Support internal and external audits by providing required documents and financial information. • Ensure accounting procedures comply with company policies and applicable accounting standards. • Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information. • Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. • 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in Qatar or the GCC. • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting. • Experience with accounting/ERP software; knowledge of Oracle, SAP, Tally, or similar systems is an advantage. • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office. • Strong reconciliation and analytical skills. • Good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation. • Knowledge of Qatar VAT/tax and statutory requirements is an advantage. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
