We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end and year-end closing, and compliance activities. Key Responsibilities • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. • Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations. • Manage month-end and year-end closing activities. • Monitor and maintain accurate financial records and documentation. • Prepare and review journal entries and accounting schedules. • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and UAE regulations. • Coordinate with auditors and provide the required financial documentation. • Identify discrepancies and recommend improvements to accounting processes. • Support management with financial reports and analysis when required. • Managing and leading a team of three accountants, including task allocation, performance management, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of accounting activities. Requirements & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Proven 8+ years of relevant accounting experience. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. • Experience with VAT and UAE Tax regulations is preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems (such as ERPNext, Odoo, and SAP( • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. • Professional communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Proven practical experience in implementing the UAE ICV Program, including ICV certification requirements, supplier assessments, ICV score calculation, supporting documentation, and integration of ICV requirements into government and semi-government procurement and tendering processes. • Arabic Speaking is a must.
