About the role Position Title: Consultant - Petrophysicist - Program Design Work Location: Kuwait Department: On-sync Energy Management Services Company. Job Responsibilities • Lead advanced formation evaluation using multi-mineral modelling, saturation evaluation, borehole imaging, and integrated petrophysical workflows. • Integrate routine and special core data (RCAL/SCAL), well logs, mud logs, drilling data, and geochemical information for advanced reservoir characterization. • Interpret and integrate LWD, wireline, and mud logging data for real-time formation evaluation and operational decision-making. • Provide real-time petrophysical interpretation and technical support during drilling operations, including complex, deviated, horizontal, and HPHT wells. • Integrate TOC, pyrolysis, mineralogy, and other geochemical data to evaluate unconventional reservoirs and hydrocarbon storage mechanisms. • Evaluate SCAL datasets, including capillary pressure, adsorption/desorption, and other reservoir properties. • Develop water saturation models, saturation-height relationships, capillary pressure models, and net-pay estimates. • Build and calibrate Mechanical Earth Models (MEM) using core and well-log data and support pore-pressure prediction and fracture analysis. • Interpret borehole image and acoustic data to assess stress orientation, fractures, and geomechanical properties. • Provide geomechanical input for well placement, completion design, and hydraulic fracturing optimization. • Evaluate TOC, brittleness, reservoir quality, and other parameters to identify unconventional reservoir opportunities. • Interpret cased-hole logging, production logging, saturation monitoring, and reservoir surveillance data to support reservoir management. • Provide conditioned petrophysical inputs for static and dynamic reservoir models and support integration with seismic and inversion workflows. • Perform log conditioning, environmental corrections, quality control, and validation of petrophysical data from multiple sources. • Quantify petrophysical uncertainties and conduct sensitivity studies and Value of Information (VOI) assessments to support data acquisition and technical decisions. • Apply advanced analytics, machine learning, digital workflows, and emerging formation evaluation technologies to improve interpretation and decision-making. • Lead technical reviews, contribute to workflow standardization, and drive continuous improvement in petrophysical practices. • Provide technical coaching, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to junior petrophysicists and other subsurface professionals. • Collaborate effectively with geologists, geophysicists, reservoir engineers, drilling, completion, and other multidisciplinary teams.
