Solutions Architect

DXC Technology | United Arab Emirates | On-site DXC Technology is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to provide end-to-end architecture leadership for a large-scale technology transformation program in the UAE. The Solution Architect will be responsible for translating complex business and technology requirements into scalable, secure, resilient, and integrated solutions across multiple technology domains. This role requires a strong combination of enterprise solution design, systems integration, cloud and infrastructure understanding, application architecture, data, cybersecurity, and stakeholder management. Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Design • Own the end-to-end solution architecture across the program. • Translate business, functional, and non-functional requirements into comprehensive technology solutions. • Define high-level and detailed solution architectures covering applications, integrations, data, infrastructure, cloud, security, and operational requirements. • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, maintainable, interoperable, and aligned with business objectives. • Define architecture principles, patterns, standards, and technology guidelines. • Evaluate technology options and recommend appropriate platforms, products, and architectural approaches. • Ensure appropriate consideration of availability, performance, scalability, disaster recovery, security, and operational support requirements. Architecture Governance • Establish and maintain architecture governance throughout the solution lifecycle. • Lead and participate in architecture and design review sessions. • Ensure proposed solutions comply with agreed architecture principles, standards, security requirements, and technology strategies. • Review solution designs produced by internal teams, vendors, and technology partners. • Identify architectural risks, technical debt, dependencies, and design gaps. • Maintain architecture documentation and key technical decisions. Systems Integration • Define integration architecture across applications, platforms, data sources, cloud services, and external systems. • Ensure effective interoperability across complex technology environments. • Define appropriate API, middleware, messaging, event-driven, and integration patterns. • Work with integration teams and technology partners to resolve cross-platform dependencies and design challenges. • Ensure integration solutions meet performance, security, scalability, and availability requirements. Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture • Provide architectural guidance across cloud, hybrid, infrastructure, compute, storage, network, and platform services. • Support the definition of highly available, scalable, and resilient technology environments. • Ensure architecture considers business continuity, disaster recovery, capacity, performance, and operational requirements. • Evaluate cloud and infrastructure options based on technical, operational, security, and commercial considerations. Security Architecture • Embed security principles and requirements throughout the solution architecture. • Collaborate closely with cybersecurity specialists to ensure appropriate security controls are incorporated into designs. • Ensure solutions consider identity and access management, data protection, encryption, network security, monitoring, and resilience. • Support architecture reviews relating to security, risk, and compliance requirements. Stakeholder & Technical Leadership • Act as a senior technical advisor across the program. • Work closely with business stakeholders, program leadership, project managers, technical teams, vendors, and partners. • Facilitate architecture workshops and technical design sessions. • Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Provide technical direction and guidance to solution designers, engineers, developers, and delivery teams. • Support resolution of complex cross-domain technical issues and architectural decisions. Vendor & Technology Evaluation • Evaluate technical proposals, solution designs, products, and technology options from vendors and partners. • Ensure vendor solutions align with the overall target architecture and program requirements. • Identify integration gaps, duplication, technical risks, and architectural dependencies. • Support technical evaluations, solution assessments, and technology selection activities where required. Required Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. • 10+ years of technology experience, including significant experience in Solution Architecture or Enterprise Architecture roles. • Proven experience designing end-to-end solutions for large-scale, complex technology transformation programs. • Strong understanding of applications, systems integration, APIs, data, cloud, infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity. • Demonstrated experience designing solutions across multiple technology domains rather than within a single technology stack. • Strong experience working within complex multi-vendor and systems integration environments. • Experience defining functional and non-functional architecture requirements. • Strong understanding of scalability, availability, resilience, performance, security, disaster recovery, and operational architecture. • Experience producing architecture documentation, solution designs, integration models, and technical decision records. • Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities. • Ability to translate business requirements into practical and sustainable technology solutions. Preferred Experience • Previous experience supporting major technology transformation programs in the UAE or wider GCC region. • Strong experience with cloud and hybrid architectures, including major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or equivalent. • Experience with API management, middleware, microservices, event-driven architectures, and enterprise integration patterns. • Knowledge of modern application architecture, data platforms, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and digital technologies. • Experience operating within large-scale, complex, highly governed enterprise environments. • Familiarity with architecture frameworks and methodologies such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, or equivalent. • Relevant cloud, architecture, security, or technology certifications are advantageous.
