JAM Event Services
Communications and Marketing Manager Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates | On-site | Full-time JAM Event Services is recruiting a Communications and Marketing Manager on behalf of a creative and cultural organisation based in Abu Dhabi. This is a hands-on delivery role, not a purely strategic one. Reporting to the General Manager and managing one Brand & Communications Designer, you will own the planning and day-to-day delivery of all communications, marketing, PR, content and brand activity — translating the organisation's programmes, services and opportunities into campaigns that build awareness and generate measurable registrations, enquiries, visits, participation and footfall. Strategy and planning • Develop and execute the annual communications and marketing plan, aligned to organisational objectives and approved budget. • Maintain an integrated marketing calendar and a rolling content and campaign calendar across three business units — a creative practice, a public programming function and an academy — sequencing activity and resolving conflicts. • Advise leadership on audience positioning, campaign opportunities, channel selection, communications risk and launch readiness. Campaigns and demand generation • Plan and deliver integrated organic and paid campaigns for memberships, services, programmes, events and strategic initiatives. • Set objectives, audiences, calls to action, budgets, channels, timelines and performance measures for every campaign. • Drive qualified registrations, enquiries, applications, visits and footfall, tracking conversion from awareness to action with service owners. • Source and manage advertising, listing, partnership, signage and promotional opportunities end to end. Content, channels and storytelling • Own editorial direction and the publishing schedule across website, social, newsletters and digital listings. • Write, edit, publish and quality-check clear bilingual (Arabic/English) copy — posts, campaigns, web pages, newsletters, press materials and institutional communications. • Plan and coordinate photography, video, interviews and on-site coverage, and capture practical day-to-day content yourself where appropriate. • Maintain an organised archive of approved assets, coverage, consent records and evergreen content. PR and reputation • Build relationships with relevant media, publications, cultural and creative networks and partners. • Prepare press releases, briefing materials, key messages and spokesperson briefs; handle media enquiries and track coverage. • Support leadership on sensitive or high-profile communications, ensuring accuracy and approval before publication. • Monitor sentiment, reviews and user-generated content under approved moderation protocols. Brand and creative production • Safeguard consistent brand identity, tone of voice and quality standards across every touchpoint. • Manage and prioritise the designer's workload; coordinate photographers, videographers, copywriters, translators, media buyers, printers and agencies. • Write clear briefs, manage production timelines and approvals, check proofs, and deliver within budget. • Keep brand guidelines, templates, presentations, boilerplates, fact sheets and collateral current. Performance, budget and governance • Establish KPIs, dashboards and reporting routines covering reach, engagement, traffic, leads, registrations, conversion, attendance, footfall, coverage and cost efficiency. • Analyse performance and audience insight, report monthly, and adjust content, channel mix, spend and messaging accordingly. • Manage the approved budget, purchase requests, supplier scopes, quotations and invoices with Procurement and Finance. • Ensure databases, mailing lists, consent records and published materials comply with privacy, IP and approval requirements. What you'll bring • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, PR, media, journalism, business or a related discipline. • Minimum 5 years' relevant communications and marketing experience, including at least 2 years coordinating campaigns, suppliers, budgets or team members. • Demonstrable track record of personally delivering integrated campaigns and content that generated measurable audience action — not only strategy or agency management. • A strong portfolio of campaigns, writing, social content, storytelling, PR or brand work. • Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English, including editing and proofreading. • Strong grasp of campaign planning, audience segmentation, content strategy, conversion journeys and marketing measurement. • Hands-on with major social platforms, website CMS, email marketing, digital advertising, analytics, SEO fundamentals and business listings. • Able to produce strong day-to-day content on a smartphone with practical editing tools; Canva, CapCut or Adobe Creative Cloud an advantage. • Media relations, press writing, interview preparation and reputation management skills. • Strong project management, prioritisation, budgeting, supplier coordination and quality control. Advantageous: experience in cultural or creative organisations, makerspaces, education, design, innovation, entrepreneurship, community-facing venues or experience-led services. The challenge Balancing three different sets of priorities and timelines while maintaining one coherent brand — and consistently turning creative ideas into timely, high-quality, measurable activity. Applications will be reviewed by JAM Event Services. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Show more Show less
