Management Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant / Financial Consultant to take full ownership of our end-to-end accounting operations, including project- and client-level financial reporting. The role requires a high level of accuracy, independence, accountability, and proactive problem-solving — managing the full accounting function with minimum supervision while providing reliable financial insight to support management decision-making. Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting • Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts under accrual accounting principles and applicable IFRS standards. • Perform monthly account reconciliations (bank, inter company, receivables, payables, balance sheet schedules) ensuring 100% accuracy. • Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and actuals, and manage budgets across accounting operations and project portfolios. • Ensure all month-end and year-end financial closures are completed on time with no missed or delayed activities. 2. Systems & Data Integrity • Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date financial records within Zoho Books, acting as the primary owner of data integrity and reporting accuracy. • Ensure proper classification of accounts with zero mis-posting or classification errors. 3. Receivables, Payments & Vendor Management • Issue customer invoices promptly and accurately; monitor receivables aging and follow up to ensure timely collection. • Process outgoing payments, WPS salary submissions, and bank reconciliations with zero errors. • Review vendor payment terms against agreed contracts, and proactively initiate vendor negotiations as part of cost control. • Process purchase requests and expense claims in full compliance with approved policies. 4. Project & Client Profitability Reporting • Prepare project-level financial reports, including budget vs. actual analysis, and track profitability per client on a quarterly basis. • Conduct cost-vs-profit analysis by client and division, providing management with insight to prioritize growth areas. • Proactively flag cost overruns, margin risks, or timeline risks before they escalate. 5. Payroll, Tax & Statutory Compliance • Process monthly payroll accurately and ensure 100% WPS compliance. • Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations, with zero penalties or fines. • Maintain complete compliance documentation and monitor regulatory changes. 6. Process Improvement & Audit Readiness • Develop, document, and implement SOPs for accounting and finance functions. • Identify and implement at least two process improvements or automations per review period. • Maintain continuous audit readiness and support internal/external audits with zero major non-compliances. • Proactively identify and independently resolve accounting/process issues, driving them through to full resolution. Requirements Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline • 5–7 years' experience in accounting, finance operations, audit, or consulting • Minimum 3 years of UAE experience (mandatory) • Strong working knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and WPS • Hands-on experience with Zoho Books or a comparable accounting system • Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills Preferred: • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or CMA) • Experience supporting internal/external audit engagements Competencies: • Independent judgment and structured problem-solving • Strong ownership and accountability with minimum supervision • Attention to detail and verification discipline • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently • Confidentiality and ethical standards Performance Expectations (First 6 Months): • Stabilize monthly close and reconciliation cycle with zero missed deadlines • Achieve full Zoho Books data integrity with zero classification errors • Complete at least one full VAT/Corporate Tax filing cycle with zero penalties • Deliver at least one self-initiated process improvement Characteristics: • Ethical, detail-oriented, proactive, analytical, organized, accountable • Collaborative, communicative, results-driven, adaptable, solution-oriented • Comfortable working independently in a growing organization Benefits • Employment type: Full-time • Expected Date of Recruitment: Immediate joiner preferred • Salary: Confirmed after interview • Term of Contract: 2 years • Working Hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday • Medical insurance: Coverage including dental and optical • Visa: Employment visa sponsorship provided • Flight Ticket: One annual round-trip ticket to home country • Probation Period: 6 months Show more Show less
