Accountant

Our client, a growing marketing agency in Dubai, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to support its day-to-day finance operations. Key responsibilities • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payment requests, supplier payments and reconciliations • Maintain accurate general-ledger entries, financial records, supporting schedules and organised documentation • Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements and client accounts • Support monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities, management reports and budgets • Prepare and issue invoices for retainers, projects and ad-hoc scopes • Coordinate with Client Services on billing instructions, purchase orders and invoice-status updates • Maintain aged-receivables and collections trackers; follow up on outstanding payments and escalate discrepancies when needed • Maintain commercial, contract and renewal trackers, ensuring records are accurate and up to date • Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as required • Ensure compliance with internal approval workflows, finance processes and statutory requirements • Identify discrepancies, process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement • Support the ongoing maintenance of finance systems, trackers and reporting processes Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field • Previous experience in a service-based or professional-services environment • Marketing, advertising or creative-agency experience is an advantage • Familiarity with Zoho and strong Microsoft Excel skills • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills • Confident communication and follow-up skills • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Proactive, accountable and comfortable working independently If you have the relevant accounting experience and are looking for an opportunity within a dynamic Dubai-based agency, please apply with your updated CV.
