Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and financial plans for construction projects. • Conduct inspections and audits throughout the project lifecycle to ensure compliance with all relevant standards, specifications, and regulations. • Read reports and propose suitable corrective actions. • Assess variations, value engineering and cost control in cooperation with the Project Manager and construction team. • Monitor the progress of projects and report on any discrepancies or issues. • Collaborate with the project team to resolve technical problems and improve construction methods. • Prepare and review tenders, contract documentation, and procurement processes. • Manage and assess subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. • Oversee the implementation of health, safety, and environmental procedures. • Provide regular updates to senior management regarding project performance and potential risks. • Ensure that all control documentation and records are accurately maintained. Experience and Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction or property development industry (experience in Dubai or the UAE is highly desirable). • Strong knowledge of local construction laws, regulations, and standards in the UAE. • Proven experience in cost management, budgeting, and project scheduling. • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to identify and mitigate risks. • Strong communication and negotiation skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, etc.). • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Fluency in English (Arabic language skills are a plus).
