Senior Civil / Structural Design Engineer - Oil & Gas EPC

Senior Civil / Structural Design Engineer Base Location: Dubai, UAE Industry: Oil & Gas / Engineering • Job Purpose The Senior Civil / Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for performing and supporting civil and structural engineering design activities for the Ar-Ratawi GPP Project. The position requires extensive Oil & Gas structural design experience, strong technical capability in structural analysis and design software, and thorough knowledge of applicable American design codes and TOTAL General Specifications. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary engineering environment and ensure that civil and structural designs comply with project requirements, applicable engineering standards and client specifications. • Key Responsibilities • Perform civil and structural analysis and design activities for Oil & Gas facilities. • Develop and review structural design calculations, engineering analyses and associated technical documentation. • Carry out structural modelling, analysis and design using STAAD.Pro and MAT3D. • Apply relevant American design codes and standards, including AISC and ACI, in engineering design activities. • Ensure designs comply with applicable TOTAL GS (General Specification) requirements. • Review civil/structural engineering drawings, calculations and design deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance. • Provide technical input and engineering solutions for structural design issues arising during project execution. • Coordinate civil/structural engineering interfaces with other engineering disciplines. • Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and technical coordination activities. • Identify design discrepancies, technical risks and potential engineering issues and recommend appropriate solutions. • Support technical queries, design clarifications and engineering changes relating to civil and structural works. • Ensure engineering deliverables are completed in accordance with project requirements, schedules and applicable standards. • Maintain appropriate engineering documentation and design records. • Support the engineering/project team as required throughout the assignment. • Minimum Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline. • Minimum 12+ years of relevant professional experience. • Extensive structural design experience specifically within the Oil & Gas industry. • Demonstrable experience working on major Oil & Gas, EPC/EPCC or similar engineering projects is highly desirable. • Strong experience in civil and structural engineering design and analysis. • Technical Competencies The Candidate Should Demonstrate Strong Competency In • STAAD.Pro • MAT3D • Structural analysis and design • Steel structure design • Reinforced concrete design • AISC requirements • ACI requirements • Applicable American engineering/design standards • TOTAL GS (General Specification) requirements • Engineering calculations and technical documentation • Design and drawing review • Multidisciplinary engineering coordination Show more Show less
