AppliedAI
Business Analyst Abu Dhabi, UAE | Office-based AppliedAI, founded in 2021, is a pioneering AI technology company headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE. We are committed to innovation and excellence in artificial intelligence solutions across regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance, government, and financial services. Our flagship platform, Opus, automates and supervises mission-critical, document-heavy processes with embedded governance, auditability, and human oversight. We help enterprises achieve measurable productivity gains while increasing operational reliability and trust. With over 400 employees across 9 locations, AppliedAI is pursuing strategic expansion of its UAE-based Delivery Team due to strong client demand. About the Role: We're looking for a talented Business Analyst to join our growing post-sales AI Solutions Delivery team, supporting client success on Opus, our agentic AI workflow automation platform for regulated industries. In this role, you'll work alongside our AI Solutions Consultants and Project Managers as part of an agile delivery squad, facilitating enterprise clients to map out how their processes actually run today so our team can turn that into a working, automated solution powered with agentic AI. You'll be process-minded and detail-oriented, comfortable running structured conversations with client teams, and confident capturing and documenting complex operational workflows clearly enough that others can build from them. You’re familiar with BPMN process mapping, or similar methodologies. Key Responsibilities Discovery & Process Mapping • Support discovery sessions with client teams to map current-state business processes: who does each step, how long it takes, what rules apply, where things commonly go wrong, the pain points, the technology systems involved and the integrations landscape • Help build shared process maps and visual workflow diagrams that client stakeholders can review, correct, and sign off on before build begins, on the Opus Discovery Tool • Ask clarifying questions to surface the real, as-practiced process, not just the officially documented version. • Take structured notes during workshops and translate discussion into clear, organized documentation. Documentation & Coordination • Maintain accurate, up-to-date process documentation, requirements notes, and workflow specifications for each client engagement. • Organize and structure discovery outputs so AI Solutions Consultants and Workflow Engineers can move efficiently into solution design and build. • Track open questions, decisions, and follow-ups across an engagement, and help keep documentation consistent across projects. • Assist in preparing client-facing materials, including process summaries, reports on value generated through agentic AI automation, return on investment and status updates. Delivery Support • Work closely with Project Managers and AI Solutions Consultants to keep discovery and documentation work on schedule. • Help validate that build output matches the agreed process map by checking documentation against what's delivered. • Attend client meetings and demos as a supporting team member, helping capture feedback and action items. • Flag process gaps, inconsistencies, or ambiguities early so they don't become issues later in delivery. Qualifications: Experience • 2-4 years in a business analyst, business operations, or process improvement role. • Exposure to client-facing work or cross-functional project delivery is a plus. • Prior experience in a regulated industry (banking, insurance, healthcare, government) is a plus but not required. Skills: • Strong process-mapping and documentation skills; comfortable turning a conversation into a clear, structured diagram or written spec. • Solid working knowledge of tools like Excel, Figma, Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or similar for capturing workflows. • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple threads of documentation across concurrent engagements. • Basic familiarity with business software concepts (systems, data, integrations) is helpful; deep technical background is not required, but recommended. Soft Skills: • Clear communicator, both in writing and in live workshops with client stakeholders. • Curious and thorough — comfortable asking "why" until a process actually makes sense. • Collaborative and coachable, with the ability to work closely with more senior Solutions Consultants, Project Managers, and Workflow Engineers. • Calm and professional in front of clients, even when a process turns out messier than expected. What We Offer: • Opportunity to play a key role in establishing a new market for a leading AI company. • Exposure to cutting-edge AI/ML applications in real-world business contexts. • Collaborative, innovative, and growth-driven work environment. • Competitive compensation and career advancement opportunities.
