We are looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor—(Post-Contract) to join our client's team in Dubai, one of the biggest organisations in the region. The role will be with the Contract & Procurement Department. As a post-contract quantity surveyor, you will be responsible for day-to-day functional leadership of estimating and quantity surveying skill sets to enable the organisation to achieve project delivery goals post-contract. This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 12 months and is renewable. Key responsibilities: Post contract administration and commercial management including but not limited to the following: • Reviewing and processing variations of consultants and contractors in accordance with the contract. • Administering variations of consultants and contractors in accordance with the client’s Change Management procedures. • Reviewing and ensuring insurances and bank guarantees (bonds) are in accordance with the requirements of the contract. • Reviewing EOT and prolongations cost claims. • Payment valuations and preparing payment certificates. • Preparing monthly cost report, cashflow and accruals. • Close out of final account, preparing final payment certificate and release of bank guarantees. To be successful in the role, you possess the following skills: • Min. 5 years’ experience with consultant, developer, or mixture of Consultant & Contractor (UAE experience is an advantage) • Graduate degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent • Very good command of English and strong communication skills • Experience with various aspects of Quantity Surveying such as Contract Administration, Field, and Drawing Measurements, Material Takeoff, Estimating, Valuations, Bills of Quantities, Reports, Claims, Dispute Resolution, Variations, Arbitrations, Contractual Letters, Final Accounts preparation, and project close-out • Immediately available candidates will be preferred • Good negotiation skills • Good change management skills • Strong teamwork skills We are looking for a candidate who will be able to work in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
