Role Description The Civil Engineer role at AUM Development is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for designing and reviewing civil engineering plans for residential and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards. Daily tasks include coordinating with architects, contractors, and consultants, preparing technical drawings and specifications, and conducting site inspections to monitor construction quality and progress. The role also involves planning and overseeing infrastructure elements such as foundations, roads, utilities, and stormwater management systems, as well as preparing reports, cost estimates, and risk assessments. The Civil Engineer will contribute to project timelines, support value engineering efforts, and help maintain AUM’s reputation for timely, high-quality delivery. Requirements: • Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to apply engineering principles to real estate development projects. • Experience working as Civil Engineers on planning, coordinating, and executing infrastructure and structural works. • Knowledge and practical experience in Planning, including project scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. • Proficiency in Stormwater Management design and implementation, including drainage systems and related infrastructure. • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or a closely related field. • Familiarity with Dubai and UAE building codes, standards, and permitting processes is highly preferred. • Ability to read and produce technical drawings using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar tools). • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality. • Proven experience in on-site construction supervision and collaboration with contractors and consultants. • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. • 3–5 years of relevant UAE construction experience preferred. • Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings, and site execution. • Good communication and coordination skills. • Ability to manage site activities and meet project deadlines. • G+4/ G+12 experience/certificate will be an advantage. • Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
