Role: Data Product Manager Experience- 10+ Years Location- Sharjah Role Summary The Data Product Manager / Business Analyst owns the vision, roadmap, and functional definition of the organization's central data platform. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy and technical delivery — translating enterprise data needs into a prioritized backlog of platform capabilities, and ensuring that everything built on Microsoft Fabric and Informatica IDMC actually serves real business and analytical outcomes rather than becoming a purely technical exercise. The role owns the "what and why," partnering closely with data engineers, architects, and platform administrators who own the "how." Key Responsibilities Product Vision & Strategy • Define and continuously evolve the product vision, target operating model, and multi-quarter roadmap for the central data platform, aligned to the organization's broader data and AI strategy. • Prioritize platform capabilities (new data domains, integration patterns, governance features, self-service analytics) based on business value, technical feasibility, and dependency sequencing. • Own the platform's value proposition to internal stakeholders — articulating why a centralized, governed platform beats fragmented departmental data solutions. Requirements Definition & Functional Design • Define and maintain the platform's data domain model, use-case catalog, and prioritized backlog (e.g., in Azure DevOps/Jira), balancing new build against platform hardening and technical debt. • Produce and maintain source-to-target mapping documents, business glossaries, and data dictionaries in partnership with data governance leads. Platform Functionality Ownership — Microsoft Fabric • Define requirements for OneLake-based data landing, Lakehouse/Warehouse modeling (medallion architecture — Bronze/Silver/Gold), and Data Factory pipeline/Dataflow Gen2 orchestration needs across source systems. • Specify functional requirements for Real-Time Intelligence use cases (EventStream/Eventhouse) where streaming or near-real-time data is required. • Define consumption-layer requirements for Power BI, including Direct Lake semantic models, so that business users get performant, governed self-service analytics. • Work with platform architects on workspace structuring, capacity (F-SKU) allocation planning, and Purview-based governance alignment. Platform Functionality Ownership — Informatica IDMC • Define data integration requirements delivered through Cloud Data Integration (CDI), including source connectivity, transformation rules, and orchestration patterns feeding the Fabric lake house. • Specify data quality rules, profiling requirements, and remediation workflows to be implemented in Cloud Data Quality. • Define business glossary, data lineage, and stewardship workflow requirements within Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC), including domain/sub-domain and business term taxonomies. • Document master data requirements (golden record definitions, match/merge rules, survivorship logic) for implementation in Informatica MDM SaaS (Customer 360 / Product 360 / Reference 360 as applicable). Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred). • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Manager, or Product Owner on enterprise data platform, data warehouse, or analytics initiatives. • Demonstrated experience defining requirements for cloud data platforms — direct experience with Microsoft Fabric (or Azure Synapse/Power BI ecosystem) and Informatica (IDMC or legacy PowerCenter/Axon/EDC) strongly preferred. • Proven experience translating ambiguous business needs into structured functional specifications and backlog items. • Experience working within a formal governance framework (data classification, stewardship models, data quality SLAs). • Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments, including backlog management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira). Technical Knowledge • Microsoft Fabric: OneLake architecture and Shortcuts, Lakehouse vs. Warehouse patterns, Data Factory (pipelines + Dataflow Gen2), Real-Time Intelligence (EventStream/Eventhouse), Power BI/Direct Lake semantic models, Purview-based governance, F-SKU capacity model. • Informatica IDMC: Cloud Data Integration, Cloud Data Quality, Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC), Metadata Command Center, MDM SaaS applications, Data Marketplace, and a working understanding of CLAIRE AI-driven automation. • Working knowledge of data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, medallion/bronze-silver-gold architecture), data lineage, and master data management principles. • Familiarity with data privacy and sector-specific regulatory frameworks relevant to the organization's industry.
