As a Site Engineer – Infrastructure, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating infrastructure construction activities at site, ensuring that all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, contractual requirements, and applicable UAE standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in infrastructure works, including roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, and associated civil works, with a strong understanding of UAE construction practices and authority requirements. Responsibilities • Supervise and coordinate daily infrastructure construction activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements. • Ensure all infrastructure works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved quality standards and project specifications. • Review construction drawings, shop drawings, specifications, method statements, and other technical documents before commencement of works. • Supervise infrastructure works including roads, pavements, drainage networks, utility networks, earthworks, kerbstones, and associated civil works. • Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, surveyors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth execution of works. • Monitor site activities and ensure works are progressing as per the approved project schedule. • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure that construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. • Coordinate setting-out and levels with survey teams and ensure works are executed as per approved coordinates, levels, and alignments. • Supervise excavation, backfilling, compaction, grading, trenching, pipe laying, road works, and other infrastructure-related activities. • Coordinate material inspections, testing, approvals, and site inspections with QA/QC teams and relevant consultants. • Ensure only approved materials are used and incorporated into the works. • Identify site issues, technical constraints, and potential delays and coordinate with the relevant teams for timely resolution. • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure manpower, materials, equipment, and resources are adequately available at site. • Maintain daily site records, progress reports, inspection requests, and other relevant project documentation. • Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure compliance with project quality and safety requirements. • Liaise with consultants and relevant Dubai authorities, utility providers, and other stakeholders for inspections, approvals, and connections where required. • Participate in site meetings, coordination meetings, progress reviews, snagging, de-snagging, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities. • Provide technical guidance to site supervisors, subcontractors, and work crews to ensure proper execution of infrastructure works. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline. • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in infrastructure construction projects. • Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in infrastructure construction is preferred. • Proven experience in roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, pavements, kerbstones, and associated infrastructure works. • Strong knowledge of UAE construction standards, specifications, and relevant authority requirements. • Experience working with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, utility providers, and relevant UAE authorities. • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documentation. • Good understanding of surveying, levels, setting-out, excavation, backfilling, compaction, and civil infrastructure construction practices. • Experience with Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), testing, and quality documentation. • Strong understanding of HSE requirements and safe working practices on construction sites. • Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and site supervision skills. • Previous experience on major infrastructure or large-scale development projects in the UAE is preferred.
