MARKETING MANAGER (Strategic, cross-functional marketing leadership) COMPANY: Confidential (details on application) WORKING PATTERN: UAE-based (Onsite); substantial US time zone overlap required TRAVEL: Periodic travel to the United States Compensation: AED 17,000-25,000 per month, with performance-based bonus About the company: We are a fast-growing specialty products manufacturer with a global distribution network spanning multiple continents. We develop and market technically differentiated, science-led products across both B2B and B2C channels, working with distributors, retail partners and direct commercial customers worldwide. Headquartered in the United States, with an international team, we're entering an exciting phase of commercial growth and investing in a stronger, more strategic marketing function to support it. This search is being run confidentially at this stage. Full company details will be shared with shortlisted candidates as the process progresses. Role overview: The company is seeking a commercially minded Marketing Manager who can translate company strategy into focused, actionable marketing plans. This is a strategic and hands-on role spanning market positioning, vertical strategy, product campaigns, digital marketing, events and close collaboration with sales. The successful candidate will understand that the business serves different markets and customer groups, each requiring its own positioning, message, channel strategy and measure of success. They will be expected to challenge assumptions, identify weaknesses, make clear recommendations and ensure execution remains aligned with the original commercial objective. This is a team-leading role from day one, with budget ownership and the ability to bring in additional support (internal hires, contractors or agencies) as the marketing function grows. Key responsibilities: • Strategy, positioning and planning • Develop and maintain an actionable marketing strategy that supports the company’s wider commercial objectives. • Lead strategic discussions with company leadership and convert decisions into clear priorities, campaigns, budgets and timelines. • Analyse competitors, market trends and the company’s relative positioning, including where the company is strong, where it is vulnerable and how identified weaknesses should be addressed. • Own marketing budgeting, forecasting, prioritisation and allocation of resources across campaigns, products, channels and verticals. Vertical and segment strategy • Evaluate each market vertical and understand the company’s current activity, customers, opportunities and barriers within it. • Develop distinct strategies for each vertical and customer segment rather than applying a single marketing approach across materially different markets. • Define the appropriate audience, value proposition, message, content, channel mix and commercial objective for each segment. • Identify new market opportunities and recommend where the company should increase, reduce or redirect its marketing efforts. High-potential product and channel growth • Identify key high-potential products and develop focused campaigns to accelerate their growth. • Work closely with sales to identify suitable channels, build channel-entry plans and support adoption within each channel. • Create channel-specific product positioning, messaging, campaigns and sales enablement materials. • Plan and coordinate product launches, including the proposition, launch schedule, content, sales support and post-launch review. Sales alignment and cross-functional leadership Maintain close communication and strategic alignment with sales teams, leadership, product and operational teams. Translate sales feedback, customer objections and market intelligence into useful marketing action. Support lead generation and agree clear processes with sales for lead ownership, quality, follow-up and conversion. Build effective relationships across the US and international teams through regular meetings, planning sessions and periodic in-person collaboration. Digital marketing, content and brand • Manage social media strategy and execution, including the content calendar, posts, campaigns and performance review. • Oversee website SEO and develop website-led campaigns designed to improve visibility, engagement and conversion. • Coordinate content across social media, websites, email, product launches and sales materials. • Maintain consistent and accurate brand positioning across markets, channels, partners and public communications. • Manage the development of marketing assets, including photography, video, brochures, presentations and other sales collateral. Events and partnerships • Develop an event strategy based on target audience, strategic relevance and expected commercial value. • Plan pre-event promotion, on-site activity, sales coordination and post-event follow-up. • Support distributor, installer and partner marketing where it advances the wider channel or vertical strategy. • Manage relevant agencies, contractors, creators and external partners, including scope, quality, deadlines and budget. Measurement and continuous improvement • Establish meaningful KPIs for campaigns, products, channels, events and verticals before activity begins. • Measure actual performance against the original strategy, objectives and budget. • Identify gaps between strategy and execution, explain why they occurred and recommend corrective action. • Provide concise reporting to leadership with results, commercial insights, risks and clear recommendations. • Use customer feedback, sales input and performance data to refine plans continuously. Candidate profile: • We are looking for someone who combines strategic judgement with the willingness and ability to execute. The right person should be comfortable moving between leadership discussions, market analysis, campaign planning and hands-on delivery. • Demonstrable experience in a marketing management, product marketing or commercially focused marketing role. • Strong strategic thinking, planning, budgeting and project-management skills. • A record of developing differentiated strategies for multiple products, audiences, markets or customer segments. • Commercial awareness and the ability to connect marketing activity to sales channels, revenue opportunities and customer adoption. • Experience managing social media, content, websites, SEO and integrated campaigns. • Strong analytical skills, including defining KPIs, interpreting performance and changing course when evidence requires it. • Clear written and verbal communication, with confidence working directly with leadership and sales teams. • Ability to understand technically differentiated products and communicate their advantages credibly. • Strong ownership, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities without losing strategic focus. • English: Native or professional-level fluent English
