Job Details: Position: Electrical Engineer L3 – Maintenance Support / FM / D&FO Employment Type: 1 year & extendable contract, (long term), outsourced Work Location: Sharjah, United Arab Emirates Notice period: Immediate joiners to a maximum of 15-30 days of notice Job Purpose: The Electrical Engineer L3 is responsible for supporting, executing, and managing all aspects of electrical and power systems within Exchanges and Data Centres. The role ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical infrastructure and systems, including audits, maintenance, procurement, and optimization initiatives, in alignment with e&’s operational standards and objectives Required Experience: • Must have 8+ years of below relevant experience Electrical Systems Audit & Compliance: • Conduct and lead audits of electrical systems in Exchanges and Data Centres, including snag collection, owner assignment, ECD agreement, Maximo registration, and back-office documentation. • Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements (e.g., Internal Control & Audit, BCCM, TRA, Insurance) by acting as the central point of contact for corrective actions related to electrical systems. Electrical Procurement & OPEX Projects: • Govern procurement requirements for electrical and power systems, from initiating purchase requisitions to issuance of purchase orders, in coordination with stakeholders and bidders. • Oversee electrical OPEX projects, including PO issuance, implementation, and acceptance, with regular reporting and dashboard circulation. Maintenance Contract & Supplier Management: • Support end-to-end management of electrical maintenance contracts • Manage supplier relationships for electrical systems, providing resolution for pre- and post-project completion and contractual issues. Process Development & Standardization: • Develop and implement electromechanical acceptance checklists and processes for electrical systems, coordinating with FM operations, Civil, EMD, and Property Management teams. • Initiate and standardize electrical work methodologies across all regions to ensure consistent and efficient operations. Electrical Project & Asset Management: • Own and govern energy savings projects related to electrical systems, from sourcing to acceptance/handover. • Lead Exchange Enhancement Programs focused on electrical asset replacement, Maximo work order tracking, and actions derived from power correction initiatives. • Coordinate and report on redundant power connectivity projects (N+N & N+1 redundancy) to management, ensuring system reliability and uptime. Work Order & Incident Management: • Manage Maximo work orders for electrical systems, ensuring adherence to pre-set ECDs/KPIs. • Govern incidents and snags related to electrical infrastructure recorded in Etisalat Eye, ensuring timely registration, clearance, and KPI compliance. Inventory & HSE Compliance: • Oversee inventory management and tracking of electrical spare parts and tools, with periodic dashboard reporting. • Ensure HSE compliance by timely disposal of environmental hazardous waste from electrical operations (e.g., used oil, filters, fuels, cable drums). Quality & Problem Management: • Act as SPOC for D&FO with the NQC team for quality issues related to electrical systems in technical and exchange buildings. • Investigate UFOC monthly problem management reports for electrical systems and provide root cause analysis in coordination with end users. Electrical OPEX Optimization & Sustainability: • Analyze authority electricity bills to identify actions and justifications for achieving assigned targets as part of the OPEX Electricity Optimization program. • Contribute to climate action programs by disclosing yearly carbon emissions from electrical systems (e.g., AC refrigerant gas) and implementing actions to reduce emissions in alignment with FM operations. Digital Transformation in Electrical Systems: • Collaborate with third-party vendors (e.g., EBTIC) and the Internal Digital Workforce team to implement AI-based algorithms for predictive maintenance and health monitoring of electrical assets.
