Role Description A consultancy delivering a major automotive transformation programme is looking for a Project Manager to run delivery on the ground. The programme covers the commercial side of the automotive business: operations, aftersales, the sales process and CRM. Specialists will handle the process design and the system build. The Project Manager keeps the whole thing moving and makes sure the new way of working survives the handover. You will work alongside the consultancy's engagement lead and deal directly with client stakeholders across dealer operations, aftersales, sales and IT. The role suits a project manager with around five years of delivery experience who has worked internationally and is used to operating across borders. The automotive background matters more here than the year count. The role is based in the region with regular travel to Bahrain during the delivery phases. Candidates must be willing to spend concentrated periods on site. Requirements Delivery and execution • Own end to end delivery of assigned workstreams across operations, aftersales, sales process and CRM • Build the delivery plan and keep the critical path, milestones and dependencies current • Run the delivery rhythm: stand ups, workstream reviews, steering pack preparation and reporting • Track progress against baseline and escalate slippage early, with options attached Process and transformation • Coordinate current state process mapping across aftersales, service, parts and sales, and drive the target operating model through to client sign off • Oversee CRM configuration and data migration activity, keeping business and technical teams aligned to the plan • Plan and run user acceptance testing, cutover and go live activity Stakeholder and change management • Act as the day to day point of contact for client stakeholders at operational and management level • Build buy in with the dealership and workshop teams who will use the new processes • Coordinate training, floor walking and post go live support so adoption holds after the consultants leave • Manage resistance honestly and surface the issues that stakeholders will not raise in a steering meeting Governance and commercial • Maintain risk, issue, assumption and dependency logs, with clear owners and dates • Control scope and manage change requests through the agreed process • Report against budget, effort and benefit realisation • Produce honest status reporting for the consultancy and the client Essential Experience • Around five years of project management experience, most of it on change programmes • Automotive sector experience, ideally within OEM, national sales company, distributor or large dealer group environments • Delivery experience across the commercial side of the business, covering operations, aftersales, sales process and CRM. Few candidates have all four and the client is not expecting it • Experience running process improvement or operating model change in a customer facing environment • CRM programme experience from the business side, for example Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics or an automotive specific platform • International delivery experience, having worked across multiple countries or on multi country programmes • Enough credibility to hold a room with dealer principals one day and the shop floor the next • Willing and able to travel to Bahrain for extended periods during key programme phases • Fluent written and spoken English, with clear reporting and documentation skills Desirable • Prior consultancy or client side advisory experience • Middle East experience, particularly GCC automotive markets • Arabic language skills • Working knowledge of dealer management systems • Aftersales performance improvement experience covering service throughput, parts availability or workshop loading • Formal certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or an agile equivalent • Lean or Six Sigma exposure applied to service and sales processes Contract 28K to 40K AED Dubai based but regular travel to Bahrain Show more Show less
