Role Description The Inspection and Estimation Civil Engineer is a full-time, on-site and in office role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. This position is responsible for conducting site inspections for civil works, assessing structural and infrastructure conditions, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and local regulations. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, method statements, material submit, and technical proposals for contracting and maintenance projects. The engineer will collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and clients to clarify scope, review design and as-built drawings, and recommend appropriate maintenance or corrective measures. Daily tasks also include preparing inspection reports, supporting planning and scheduling, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering and safety practices. Qualifications • Candidates should possess strong civil engineering foundations, including Civil Engineering and practical experience working as Civil Engineers. • Candidates should possess skills in Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to interpret and review drawings, specifications, and technical documents. • Candidates should possess planning capabilities, including project scheduling, resource planning, and coordination of inspection and estimation activities. • Candidates should possess knowledge of residential, commercial, industrial construction and maintenance projects and related infrastructure systems in line with local and international standards. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline. • Proven experience in site inspection, cost estimation, and contracting or maintenance projects, preferably within the UAE or GCC region. • Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality control procedures. • Proficiency with engineering and estimation software • Strong analytical, report-writing, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multicultural teams. • Valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites within UAE as required.
