Job Description Summary: We are looking for a Category Manager to join our Terminal Procurement team for West and Central Asia within Maersk Procurement within the A.P. Moller Maersk Group. Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible and accountable for enabling the company strategy by value creation for our customers while safeguarding the cost competitive position for Maersk in close cooperation with internal stakeholders. The annual spend under the scope is approximately USD 300 Min. As a Category Manager you will get exposed to a variety of classical category management tasks: • Defining the category strategy for your portfolio, in line with global and the regional category strategy with the objective of creating value for our customer by partnering with the right suppliers. The strategy needs to support the Must Win Battles for Procurement around Environment & Sustainability, Resilience, Digitalization • Mapping and analyzing data on current spend patterns and identifying cost drivers and opportunities in complex marketplaces • Developing new models to analyze supplier offers and quantify total costs and total values of ownership • Lead negotiations with the suppliers by preparing a comprehensive negotiation strategy • Ensure contract compliance by updating the relevant information in the contract management tools • Simplify and effectively communicate complex messages to the leadership • Finally, you will have significant responsibility from the start and be expected to execute and deliver on time and in line with our purposeful targets.
