Electrical Engineer; Type B - Sub-Stations Education: Expats:Bachelor in Electrical Engineering (Minimum 4 years experience) / Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Minimum 7 years experience) Emirati: Bachelor in Electrical Engineering (Minimum 1 years experience) / Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Minimum 3 years experience) Role & responsibilities: 1 Installation, testing & commissioning of 11 kv switchgear at 132/11 kV substations, 11kV Distribution substation equipment. knowledge of interpreting Electrical drawings, schematics and wiring layout and testing ( primary & secondary injection, CT, VT testing etc.) + good experience in Sub-Station projects, RTU panel installation, HV/MV electrical substation Equipment. 2 Coordination for commissioning and installation activities with DEWA sections, departments, contractors/ consultants with an objective of achieving commissioning targets. 3 Attend site visits before commence installation of distribution equipment such as 11kV Switchgear, capacitor bank and cables for new projects 4 Assist in verification of drawing submittals related to 11kv substation equipment. Assist in review of 11kV equipment design and giving comments for processing the dispatch 5 Assist in monitoring projects execution and liaising with contractors and sections of DEWA for ensuring timely completion of work and ensure work is carried out as per DEWA procedures and standards. 6 Checking the healthiness of the equipment and the distribution system through equipment tests and relay tests before commissioning of substations. Assist in return of substation equipment in coordination with DEWA Asset Management and Stores 7 Preparing of all relevant technical reports regarding works completion before forwarding them to planning section and other departments of DEWA 8 Ensure the commissioned substations are formally handed over to Distribution Asset Management department after completion of works in order to maintain them 9 Arrange inter sectional & inter departmental meetings and meetings with consultants/contractors in order to resolve works related issues and contribute to efficient work planning and execution. 10 Follow aware of HSE knowledge + OH&S Management System Manual as per DEWA's safety standards. 11 Perform any other tasks as assigned by the reporting manager. 12 Good Communication skills and English proficiency. 13 UAE Driving License mandatory Show more Show less
