Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in the United Arab Emirates for a DEWA Certified Senior Electrical Engineer. The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead electrical engineering design and supervision for building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with DEWA regulations, local codes, and project specifications. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving electrical drawings, power distribution layouts, and load schedules; coordinating with DEWA and other authorities for approvals; and overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems. The role will also involve technical leadership for project teams, resolving site-related electrical issues, preparing reports and documentation, and supporting project planning, cost control, and quality assurance. The Senior Electrical Engineer will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality MEP solutions. Qualifications • Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with solid knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations. • Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design and Power Distribution, including load calculations, schematic development, and layout preparation. • Candidates should possess skills related to Power Systems, including system analysis, protection coordination, and reliability assessment. • DEWA certification is required, with proven experience handling authority submissions, approvals, and inspections in the UAE. • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline. • Significant experience in MEP contracting, particularly on large-scale commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects in the UAE. • Proficiency in relevant design and coordination software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, electrical calculation tools) and strong documentation skills. • Effective communication, leadership, and team coordination abilities, with a focus on problem-solving and stakeholder collaboration. • Ability to work on-site, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
