Job Title: Data Product Manager Job Type: Contract Location: Dubai (Hybrid) Job Description: Owns the product side of the data function — working with stakeholders to collect, challenge and shape requirements into a clear, prioritized set of problems worth solving. Translates business need into well-defined specifications the engineering, architecture and QA teams can build against, and is the accountable voice for 'why are we building this. Key Responsibilities: • Gather requirements from business stakeholders for new data products, reports, pipelines or platform capability • Constructively challenge and stress-test requirements — is this the real need, is it the right solution, what's the value? • Translate validated requirements into clear specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria • Own and prioritize the product backlog/roadmap in collaboration with the Delivery & Prioritization Lead • Work with architects on solution shaping and with QA on testable acceptance criteria • Define and track value/success metrics for delivered data products • Manage stakeholder expectations on scope, timeline and trade-offs • Represent the business/user voice throughout the delivery lifecycle Typical Task Breakdown: • Ongoing: run discovery conversations/workshops with requesting stakeholders • Ongoing: write and refine user stories and acceptance criteria ready for the delivery backlog • Weekly: groom and reprioritize the product backlog with delivery and architecture leads • Per initiative: produce a lightweight business case / problem statement before build starts • Per release: validate delivered work against original requirements and sign off acceptance • Monthly: review value/success metrics for recently delivered products and report back • Ongoing: maintain a rolling roadmap view for stakeholder communication Required Skills & Experience: • Proven data or technical product management experience, ideally within analytics/data platform teams • Strong requirements-elicitation and facilitation skills; confident challenging stakeholders diplomatically • Ability to write clear user stories/specifications for a technical audience • Working knowledge of data concepts (pipelines, models, reporting/BI) to hold credible technical conversations • Commercial/value mindset — able to prioritize based on impact, not just requester seniority • Comfortable operating without a large formal product toolset in a lean/rebuilding team Experience Level: • 4-6 years in product management, business analysis or a hybrid data product role.
