Penspen is hiring experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors (EIT) - Site based in Abu Dhabi with strong oil & gas Project experience and expertise in EIT. The role will lead commercial and cost management activities across EPC/EPCM projects, ensuring effective cost control, contract compliance, and commercial risk management. Key Responsibilities • Lead quantity surveying and commercial activities for oil & gas engineering, procurement, and construction (EIT) projects. • Prepare and review cost estimates, BOQs, budgets, and tender documentation. • Administer contracts, including variations, claims, change orders, and payment certifications. • Monitor project costs, forecasts, and cash flow to ensure effective cost control. • Evaluate contractor and subcontractor commercial performance and recommend corrective actions. • Support procurement, tender evaluations, and contract negotiations. • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls teams to ensure commercial compliance and project objectives are achieved. • Prepare commercial reports and provide contractual and cost advice to project management while ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry standards. • Oversee measurement, valuation, and certification of construction works • Manage contract administration, variations, and change control through CMS • Lead claims, negotiations, and final account settlements • Monitor commercial risks and advise project management on mitigation strategies • Ensure compliance with contract terms, company procedures, and industry standards • Provide commercial guidance and mentoring to junior quantity surveyors Qualifications & Experience • Diploma in Engineering Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline is mandatory • Professional certification (RICS, AIQS, or equivalent) is an advantage. • 15+ years of QS experience in the oil & gas sector • 5 years in GCC region • 5 years of experience in similar position • Extensive experience in Oil & Gas EPC/EPCM projects • Strong hands-on experience with Construction Management Systems (CMS) • Proven ability to lead commercial activities and interface with clients and contractors • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills Show more Show less
