Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team for a major infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading quantity surveying, cost management, contract administration, and commercial activities throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in roads and infrastructure projects in the UAE, with a strong ability to independently manage complex commercial matters, variations, claims, payments, and cost reporting while coordinating closely with project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage all quantity surveying and commercial activities for assigned infrastructure projects. • Develop and monitor project cost plans, budgets, cash flow, and financial forecasts. • Review, evaluate, negotiate, and manage variations, claims, change orders, and contractual entitlements. • Prepare and review quantity take-offs, cost estimates, BOQs, and tender-related documentation. • Review drawings, specifications, contract documents, and project requirements to identify commercial risks and opportunities. • Manage and maintain accurate records of project costs, payments, variations, claims, and commercial correspondence. • Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual terms, conditions, and project requirements. • Review contractors' interim payment applications and support the certification of payments. • Prepare detailed monthly cost reports, financial statements, and commercial forecasts for project management. • Identify potential cost overruns and recommend appropriate cost-control measures. • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders on commercial and contractual matters. • Provide technical guidance and support to junior Quantity Surveyors within the team. • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of all commercial and financial information. Qualifications and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. • Minimum 15+ years of overall experience in Quantity Surveying and commercial management. • Minimum 10+ years of experience in the UAE, preferably within a consultancy or project supervision environment. • Proven experience working on major roads and infrastructure projects. • Strong knowledge of cost management, contract administration, claims management, variations, and change control. • Experience in reviewing contractor payment applications and preparing or evaluating final accounts. • Strong understanding of FIDIC or other relevant contract forms will be an advantage. • Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to independently manage complex commercial matters and support project leadership with strategic commercial advice.
