The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for supporting the pre-contract and tendering functions by accurately calculating quantities from drawings, reviewing specifications, identifying discrepancies, and preparing relevant tender documentation. This role is essential in ensuring that all project cost data is accurate, clear, and aligned with project requirements. Key Responsibilities: · Quantity Take-Off: Extract and compute quantities from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. Ensure quantity data is accurate, well-documented, and updated with drawing revisions, RFI/TA&TCs. · Specification Review: Review project specifications thoroughly. Prepare a summary table highlighting key technical and commercial points. Identify and list vendors/subcontractors in line with specified materials and systems. · Discrepancy Analysis: Compare drawings, BOQ, and specifications to identify any conflicts or inconsistencies. Highlight differences with detailed notes and provide recommendations for resolution. · Subcontract Package Preparation: Assist in the preparation of subcontractor/supplier tender packages including scope, BOQ, and specifications. Coordinate with the procurement and technical team to ensure package completeness. · Tender Summary Preparation: Draft a concise summary of each tender, outlining project scope, key requirements, and pricing considerations. · Tender Queries and Clarifications: Prepare and compile tender queries for submission to the client or consultant. Track responses and update documentation accordingly.
