Mechanical Engineer- Site

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer -Site Supervision Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Years of Experience: 15+ years of experience Job Type: Full-time We are looking for Mechanical Engineers experienced in Site supervision to join one of our Supervision projects in Abu Dhabi UAE. • Candidate must have experience working in Engineering Consultancy within UAE. • Candidate must be available in the UAE Responsibilities: • Monitoring the Mechanical scope of works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual. • Reviewing, approving and processing all Mechanical technical submittals. • Review and verify shop drawings, materials, and method statements submitted by the contractor. • Answering RFI’s related to Mechanical. • Supervise and inspect mechanical installation works (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, etc.) at site. • Experience in material and equipment selection. • Monitor site progress, conduct regular inspections, and prepare daily/weekly reports. • Reviewing contractor’s Mechanical change order proposals and preparing recommendations. • Reviewing contractors claims related to Mechanical works and preparing recommendations for claims. • Attend site meetings and provide technical guidance to contractors when needed. • Managing the Mechanical inspectors. • Assisting with the inspection of completed works and monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of the Mechanical works. Qualification: • Minimum Bachelor’s /Master’s degree in relevant disciplines: Mechanical Engineering. • Solid design knowledge with the ability to review and interpret design drawings and calculations • Excellent knowledge of Mechanical systems, products and materials. • Excellent knowledge of applicable Mechanical design and construction codes. • Excellent understanding of specifications and Authority requirements.
