Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Design Manager / Senior Design Manager within our Project & Development Services Department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex design projects, fostering innovation, and delivering exceptional results. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance creative design with practical implementation. Responsibilities of the role: • Developing and implementing design strategies that align with and project objectives. • Ensuring all design work meets high standards of quality and innovation. • Managing the end-to-end design process for multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints. • Creating detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and milestones. • Engaging with clients to understand their vision and requirements, translating them into innovative design solutions. • Effective stakeholder management; managing and leading all design disciplines to ensure coordination and delivery in line with project objectives. • Understanding of all elements of design with the ability to challenge designers on their thought processes, logic and outputs/deliverables. • Be a key representative of CWC, ensuring that at all times we as a collective are focused on delivering output and value for out clients. • Establishing and enforcing design quality standards through regular reviews and audits of design outputs. • Ensuring outputs are in compliance with industry regulations, codes, and best practices. Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Architecture, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus. • Minimum of 7 years of experience in design management, with a strong portfolio of successful projects. • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit) and project management tools. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a good eye for detail. • Able to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively under pressure.
