Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal advice and support across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders, ensuring the organisation operates within legal and regulatory requirements while effectively managing legal risk. The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded legal professional with extensive experience gained in leading private practice or a high-profile in-house legal function. Key Responsibilities • Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial and contractual matters. • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements. • Advise senior management on legal, regulatory and governance matters. • Support business transactions, strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects. • Manage legal risk and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. • Liaise with external legal counsel where required. • Develop and maintain legal policies, procedures and best practices. • Support dispute resolution and litigation management when necessary. • Monitor changes in legislation and assess their impact on the business. Candidate Requirements • Full professional proficiency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken) is essential. • Qualified lawyer with a recognised legal qualification. • Minimum of 12 years' post-qualification experience. • It is preferred that candidates have at least 2 years' experience within an international law firm or the in-house legal department of a prominent regional or international organisation. • Strong experience in corporate and commercial law. • Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. • Commercially focused with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
