Job Purpose The Insurance Business Development Specialist is responsible for driving business growth by developing and managing insurance portfolios across Motor, Medical, and General Insurance lines. The role focuses on acquiring new clients, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and achieving sales and revenue targets while ensuring exceptional customer service and compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Business Development • Identify and develop new business opportunities for Motor, Medical, and General Insurance products. • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of corporate and individual clients. • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve assigned revenue and portfolio growth targets. • Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and industry trends. • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients, brokers, and business partners. Portfolio Management • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of Motor, Medical, and General Insurance accounts. • Review client insurance requirements and recommend suitable insurance solutions. • Ensure timely policy renewals and maximize customer retention. • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling additional insurance products. • Monitor portfolio performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Client Relationship Management • Meet prospective and existing clients to understand their insurance needs. • Prepare and present insurance quotations and proposals. • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients and insurance providers. • Resolve customer inquiries and coordinate with internal teams for policy issuance and endorsements. • Maintain high standards of customer service throughout the policy lifecycle. Coordination & Operations • Liaise with underwriting, claims, finance, and operations teams to ensure efficient service delivery. • Coordinate policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, and claims support. • Ensure compliance with company policies, insurance regulations, and industry best practices. • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities within the CRM system. Reporting • Prepare periodic sales forecasts and business development reports. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and portfolio performance. • Provide market intelligence and competitor analysis to support business strategy. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Insurance, or a related field. • Professional insurance certification (CII, ACII, Cert CII, or equivalent) is an advantage. Experience • 3–5 years of experience in insurance sales or business development. • Proven experience managing Motor, Medical, and General Insurance portfolios. • Experience working with insurance brokers or insurance companies is preferred. • Strong knowledge of UAE insurance products, regulations, and market practices.
