Chief Investment Officer

We are seeking an accomplished Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead the organization's investment strategy, capital allocation, and portfolio management activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in investment management, mergers and acquisitions, private equity or venture capital, corporate finance, and strategic advisory within the UAE and GCC markets. The CIO will be responsible for identifying investment opportunities, executing transactions, managing investor relationships, overseeing due diligence, and driving long-term value creation across the investment portfolio. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute the organization's overall investment strategy aligned with business objectives. • Source, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities across multiple sectors. • Lead mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships. • Conduct financial, commercial, operational, and legal due diligence for investment transactions. • Build and manage a diversified investment portfolio while optimizing risk-adjusted returns. • Oversee investment committees and present investment recommendations to the Board of Directors. • Develop valuation models, financial analyses, and investment memoranda. • Lead negotiations for acquisitions, exits, restructuring, and financing transactions. • Maintain relationships with sovereign wealth funds, family offices, private equity firms, investment banks, regulators, and institutional investors. • Monitor portfolio company performance and recommend strategic initiatives to maximize value. • Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory requirements and international governance standards. • Collaborate with executive leadership on capital raising, fundraising, and strategic growth initiatives. • Represent the organization on advisory boards, investment committees, and industry forums. • Mentor and lead investment professionals while fostering a high-performance culture. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline. • MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Investment Management, or a related field preferred. • Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, CPA, or ACCA are highly desirable. Experience • 10- 12 yrs years of progressive experience in investment management, private equity, venture capital, corporate finance, investment banking, or family office investments. • Proven experience leading mergers and acquisitions from origination through integration. • Experience serving on advisory boards, investment committees, or corporate boards. • Strong track record within leading investment firms, sovereign wealth funds, private equity firms, family offices, or large corporate investment groups in the UAE or GCC. • Demonstrated experience managing multi-million or multi-billion-dollar investment portfolios. • Strong understanding of UAE, GCC, and international financial markets.
