Lead Solution Architect – Enterprise Platform

---------- Job position is based in Damascus, Syria- Full time ---------- Position Objectives The Lead Solution Architect will be responsible for defining, governing, and hands-on delivering the overall architecture of a large-scale enterprise business application platform of Telco Operator. This is a player-coach role: the architect will own the enterprise blueprint while working directly in the detail - producing low-level designs, guiding implementation teams, and participating in migration and cutover execution. The role ensures alignment between business objectives, application architecture, data architecture, integration architecture, security standards, infrastructure scalability, and enterprise technology governance. This role is suitable for a senior architect with recent hands-on delivery experience in complex enterprise platforms such as ERP, telecom OSS/BSS, government digital platforms, banking systems, large workflow platforms, or system-integration-led business applications. Job Description and Responsibilities • Own and maintain the end-to-end enterprise architecture blueprint for the platform. • Define the target architecture across business, application, integration, data, security, and infrastructure layers. • Produce and review both HLDs and LLDs - including physical infrastructure design, data-flow design, and deployment topology. • Ensure the platform can support enterprise-scale usage, high availability, performance, scalability, and operational resilience. • Lead architecture governance, technical design reviews, and architecture decision-making. • Align platform design with enterprise technology standards, cybersecurity policies, infrastructure standards, and integration principles. • Design and personally guide integration with ERP, IAM, telecom/network systems, planning/design platforms, reporting systems, and enterprise integration layers. • Plan and execute legacy system transition and migration - including coexistence strategy, data migration execution, cutover runbooks, rollback plans, and decommissioning. • Identify architecture risks, technical debt, scalability gaps, and improvement opportunities, and drive their remediation. • Work closely and hands-on with business owners, security teams, infrastructure teams, data teams, application teams, vendors, and architecture review boards. Qualification and Required Skills • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, IT, Computer Science, or related field. • 10–15 years of experience in IT/software, with a minimum of 5 years in solution, platform, or enterprise architecture roles. • Recent hands-on delivery experience (within the last 2–3 years): has personally built, deployed, or debugged production systems - not solely reviewed or governed others' designs. • Proven experience taking at least one large platform through the full cycle: design, build, migration, and go-live. • Deep integration experience: API design, messaging platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar), and ETL/data migration execution. • Practical infrastructure skills: Kubernetes/OpenShift, cloud or on-premise deployment models, and infrastructure-as-code exposure (Terraform, Ansible). • Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills - able to brief leadership and whiteboard implementation detail with engineers. Preferred Certifications • TOGAF • Cloud architecture certification • Kubernetes / OpenShift certification • ITIL • PMP or equivalent delivery governance exposure Preferred Experience • Experience in telecom, infrastructure delivery, or large-scale digital transformation programs. • Experience with Odoo, ERPNext, Oracle EBS/Fusion, SAP, ServiceNow, Maximo, or similar enterprise platforms. • Experience with Oracle procurement, invoice, fixed asset, or financial integration. • Experience with architecture review boards and regulated enterprise environments. • Experience in Middle East large transformation programs or Asia-based system integration delivery. ---------- Job position is based in Damascus, Syria- Full time ---------- Show more Show less
