Job Title: Lead Civil Engineer – Offshore Island Project KBR Abu Dhabi PMC Team is currently looking to fill a position of Lead Civil Engineer for an Offshore Island Project to be based in UAE ( Abu Dhabi) as soon as the administrative processes are completed, will then relocate to Spain Office and then return to Abu Dhabi . Job Purpose The Lead Civil Engineer will be responsible for managing and coordinating all civil and structural engineering activities for ADNOC offshore projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, ADNOC standards, international codes, safety requirements, quality targets, and project schedules. Key Responsibilities • Lead civil and structural engineering design activities for offshore oil & gas facilities. • Manage engineering deliverables including: • Civil design basis • Structural calculations • Foundation design • Concrete and steel structures • Underground utilities and drainage systems • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including process, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines. • Review and approve engineering documents, drawings, specifications, and technical reports. • Ensure compliance with ADNOC, ADNOC Offshore, and international standards such as API, AISC, BS, Eurocodes, and ASTM. • Interface with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, and vendors on technical matters. • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to civil and structural engineers. • Support procurement, construction, commissioning, and site engineering activities. • Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, constructability reviews, and design reviews. • Monitor engineering progress and ensure deliverables are completed within schedule and budget. • Address technical queries and resolve engineering issues during project execution. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's Degree preferred). • Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification is advantageous. Experience • Minimum 15–20 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, or Offshore projects. • At least 5 years in a lead or supervisory engineering role. • Extensive experience working on ADNOC, ADNOC Offshore, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy, or other major Middle East offshore projects. • Proven experience in FEED, Detailed Engineering, and EPC project execution. Technical Skills • Offshore structures and infrastructure design. • Foundation engineering and geotechnical coordination. • Structural analysis and design software (STAAD Pro, SACS, ETABS, SAP2000). • Knowledge of ADNOC Engineering Standards and Specifications. • Risk assessment and engineering management. • Project planning and multidisciplinary coordination. Competencies • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. • Problem-solving and decision-making capability. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment. • Strong commitment to HSE and quality standards.
