Financial Accountant in Fashion

Fashion Accountant Location: Dubai, UAE Company: The Kape About The Kape The Kape is a luxury Emirati fashion house renowned for its contemporary approach to the abaya. With a strong focus on craftsmanship, quality, and innovation, we are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Fashion Accountant to oversee the financial operations of the brand. Key Responsibilities • Manage all day-to-day accounting and financial transactions. • Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and cash flow forecasts. • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. • Monitor budgets, operating expenses, and overall financial performance. • Work closely with production, merchandising, and retail teams to monitor inventory, production costs, and cost of goods sold (COGS). • Track supplier payments, purchase orders, and production-related expenses. • Reconcile inventory movements across production, warehouse, and retail. • Process payroll and employee reimbursements. • Prepare VAT filings and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations. • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes and liaise with external auditors. • Support budgeting, financial planning, and profitability analysis by collection and product category. • Maintain accurate accounting records and continuously improve financial processes and internal controls. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the fashion, luxury, retail, or manufacturing industry. • Strong understanding of inventory accounting, production costing, and retail operations. • Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Oracle NetSuite, Odoo, SAP, or similar). • Excellent Excel and financial reporting skills. • Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting standards. • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail. • Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments. • Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
