Procurement Category Manager

Position: Category Manager Department: Procurement Location: Dubai, UAE We are looking for a Category Manager to join one of the region’s largest and most established groups, providing integrated solutions across manpower services, environmental management and specialised support functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, leading commercial negotiations, managing supplier performance, and delivering sustainable cost savings across multiple procurement categories. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure business objectives are met while maintaining compliance, mitigating supply chain risks, and continuously improving procurement processes. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement strategic sourcing and category management strategies to deliver cost savings and operational efficiency. • Lead supplier sourcing, tendering, contract negotiations, and vendor performance management across assigned categories. • Manage procurement for fleet, transport maintenance, MRO, spare parts, and operational equipment. • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business requirements. • Ensure compliance with procurement policies while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and supply chain risk mitigation. Requirements: • 5+ years' procurement or strategic sourcing experience within environmental services, logistics, manufacturing, energy, aviation, or a similar operational industry. • Proven experience managing supplier negotiations, contracts, and high-value procurement categories, including fleet or MRO where possible. • Strong knowledge of ERP procurement systems (Oracle Fusion preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Excellent commercial, analytical, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills with a track record of delivering measurable cost savings.
