We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant with over 2 years of professional experience to join our client’s finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting functions, and ensuring compliance with local statutory regulations. Key Responsibilities • Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain the general ledger, prepare journal entries, and handle day-to-day accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). • Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank, vendor, and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. • Compliance & Tax: Assist with the preparation and filing of UAE VAT returns in accordance with local regulations. • Reporting: Support the senior finance team in preparing monthly closure reports, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements. • Audit Support: Organize financial documentation and assist external auditors during annual reviews. Requirements & Qualifications • Experience: 2+ years of continuous experience in a corporate accounting position. UAE market experience is a plus. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional enrollment (ACCA, CPA, or CMA) is an advantage. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables). • Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and excellent English communication skills.
