We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage the company's day-to-day accounting operations in Dubai. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong command of accounting principles, month-end and year-end closing, and UAE VAT compliance. Knowledge of SAP is preferred. The candidate will work with a high degree of autonomy and support management with accurate and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities • Manage full-cycle daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, including aging review and follow-up on collections • Prepare and review invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and expense reports • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor and forecast cash flow • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and general ledger reconciliations • Prepare financial statements and management reports (profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow) • Prepare and file UAE VAT returns and maintain FTA-compliant documentation • Coordinate with external auditors and maintain proper filing and documentation for audits and compliance • Contribute to strengthening internal controls, policies, and procedures • Support budgeting and forecasting activities as required Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting • SAP knowledge or hands-on experience is an advantage • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; proficiency in Word and Outlook • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills • High attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines Preferred Skills • Professional qualification CA or similar completed or in progress • Experience working in the UAE • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, documentation, and compliance • Good communication skills in English Show more Show less
