Detailed job description: We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Projects Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple projects within our engineering consultancy firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project teams, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders, and ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements. The role involves overseeing project schedules, resource allocation, risk management, technical coordination, and overall project performance while providing leadership, strategic direction, and regular progress reporting to senior management. The successful candidate must possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with proven experience managing complex multidisciplinary projects and ensuring high levels of operational efficiency and client satisfaction. Job Responsibilities: Project Planning & Execution: • Develop detailed project plans that include scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resources needed. • Organize and define project tasks, assign responsibilities, and monitor project progress to ensure deadlines are met. • Establish and maintain clear communication channels with all project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and vendors. Team Collaboration & Leadership: • Lead, guide, and motivate the project team to ensure high performance and collaboration. • Organize regular project meetings to discuss progress, address any challenges, and ensure the team is on track. • Act as the main point of contact for internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth communication and coordination. Budget & Resource Management: • Manage project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently. Monitor and track project expenses and prepare financial reports. • Make adjustments to resource allocations or timelines to ensure the project stays on budget and schedule. Risk & Issue Management: • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans. • Resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle in a timely manner. Proactively monitor and manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs. Client & Stakeholder Management: • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Provide regular project updates and ensure client requirements are understood and met. • Resolve conflicts or misunderstandings with stakeholders to ensure project success. Quality Assurance & Reporting: • Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations. • Monitor project performance and prepare regular status reports, including progress, risks, and issues. • Document lessons learned and identify areas for process improvements. Project Closure & Evaluation: • Ensure all project deliverables are completed, tested, and approved before closing the project. • Finalize project documentation and ensure proper knowledge transfer. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement. Required qualifications and years of experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s Degree is an advantage. • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in project management within engineering consultancy, construction, or related industries. • Proven experience managing large-scale and multidisciplinary projects from initiation to completion. • Healthcare project experience is highly preferred. • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent project management certification is required. • Strong leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. • Proficient in project management software and reporting tools. • Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
