Role Description The Associate – Strategy, Operations and Business Development role is a full-time, on-site position based in Abu Dhabi. This role involves supporting strategic initiatives across private credit and governance advisory mandates, including market and sector research, financial and transaction analysis, and preparation of client presentations and internal decision materials. The associate will help streamline operational processes, track mandate progress, coordinate cross-functional workflows, and contribute to building scalable frameworks for client delivery and internal governance. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with business development activities such as pipeline management, proposal drafting, opportunity evaluation, and relationship management with clients and partners. The role also requires close collaboration with senior team members to refine Amkan’s service offerings, enhance market entry strategies, and support thought leadership and knowledge management efforts. Qualifications • Strong analytical and strategic skills, including experience with market research, financial analysis, and business planning. • Operational excellence capabilities, such as process mapping, workflow optimization, and project management in professional services or financial environments. • Business development and client-facing skills, including proposal preparation, stakeholder communication, and relationship management. • Understanding of credit, corporate finance, or governance-related topics, with interest in regulatory frameworks, ESG, and digital asset strategies. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to present complex concepts clearly and concisely. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics, business, law, public policy, or a related field. • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and comfort working in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced environment. • Previous experience in consulting, investment banking, private credit, legal advisory, or a similar field is an advantage. • Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and senior stakeholders.
