Architect of Record (AoR)

Architect of Record (AoR) Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE KEN International Project Management LLC is seeking an experienced Architect of Record (AoR) to join our growing multidisciplinary team. This position is ideal for a highly technical architect with extensive Abu Dhabi authority approval experience, strong design coordination skills, and the ability to manage projects from design development through statutory approvals and construction support. Key Responsibilities Act as the Architect of Record (AoR) for high-end residential, hospitality, commercial, high-rise, and mixed-use developments. Lead and manage all submissions and approvals with the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) and other relevant Abu Dhabi authorities. Ensure compliance with the Abu Dhabi Building Code, planning regulations, accessibility requirements, Fire & Life Safety regulations, and other applicable standards. Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, landscape, interior design, and specialist consultants throughout the design and approval process. Review and coordinate multidisciplinary design packages prior to authority submission. Respond to authority review comments and manage the approval process until Building Permit issuance. Coordinate closely with clients, international architects, contractors, and project stakeholders. Provide technical support during construction and assist with authority inspections and approvals. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Architecture. Minimum 8 years of professional experience. Minimum 5 years of Architect of Record (AoR) experience in Abu Dhabi, including successful management of DMT authority submissions through Building Permit approval Strong knowledge of DMT submission procedures and approval processes. Thorough understanding of the Abu Dhabi Building Code and UAE regulations. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and BIM workflows. Excellent written and spoken English.
