Role Description The Meat Chef is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting meat dishes to restaurant standards, ensuring flavor, consistency, and food safety at all times. Day-to-day tasks include selecting and portioning meat cuts, marinating and seasoning, operating grills and other cooking equipment, and monitoring cooking times and temperatures. The role involves coordinating with kitchen staff, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations, and supporting menu development through suggestions on meat preparation and presentation. The Meat Chef will also assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storage of meat products, and may help train junior kitchen team members. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Dubai. Qualifications • Strong skills in meat preparation, cooking techniques (grilling, roasting, braising), and portion control. • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and proper storage of meat and perishable ingredients. • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, manage multiple orders, and maintain consistency in quality. • Experience collaborating with chefs and kitchen staff, with effective communication and teamwork skills. • Previous experience as a Meat Chef, Grill Chef, or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting. • Basic understanding of menu planning and plating, with attention to detail and presentation. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by restaurant operations. • Formal culinary training or certification is beneficial, though equivalent practical experience is also valued. • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical tasks required in a commercial kitchen.
