About the role: Business Development Executive In this role, you will drive our go-to-market execution, accelerate merchant acquisition, and spearhead our launch team's efforts on the ground. This is an impactful zero-to-one opportunity where you will define our local sales playbook, close key partnerships, and directly drive early revenue while positioning us as a trusted partner for local merchants. If you have a builder’s mindset, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are ready to step up as a sales leader who can transition a strategy into rapid growth, this is your opportunity. Key Responsibilities: • Build & own the local GTM strategy – develop and execute the market entry plan, including target segments, pricing approach, partnership roadmap, and sales model tailored to the local ecosystem. • Own the Early Sales Cycle: Pitch our value proposition to potential clients, handle initial qualifying conversations, and present tailored solutions to business decision-makers. • Support Deal Closings: Collaborate closely with the team to move deals through the pipeline, assist with proposal creation, and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new merchants. • Be the Voice of the Market: Gather feedback directly from merchants and collaborate with internal teams to localize and improve our core offerings. • Own the Revenue Number: Roll up your sleeves to meet and exceed growth targets for merchant acquisition and transaction volume. Requirements: • 3+ years of experience in field sales —ideally within Payments, POS or SaaS environments. • Proven "Hunter" Track Record: A demonstrable history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. • Local Market Knowledge: A solid understanding of the local business landscape, cultural nuances, and an existing network of merchants or business partners in the region. • Adaptable & Self-Motivated: Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment where processes are evolving, and eager to take ownership of tasks. • Agile Learning Mindset: High willingness to learn, paired with the ability to navigate ambiguity in an evolving startup landscape.
