Job Purpose: The Assistant Product Manager is required to assist in product planning and execution functions throughout the product lifecycle They are required to support sales and marketing initiatives by liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of the Bank’s overall strategy and goals. Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 1. Support in designing, launching, and managing new and existing retail banking products. 2.Conduct gap analysis and identify new business opportunities and recommendations for improvement. 3.Aid in interfacing with Sales, Credit, Operations, Marketing, Compliance, Business Intelligence and other internal stakeholders that are key to the functions. 4. Support in liaising with external stakeholders relevant to the product management role. 5. Assist in providing a roadmap for Product Lifecycle Management for the products in focus. 6. The incumbent is required to assist in the process of marketing initiatives and promotions of the Retail Banking Group. 7.Ability to conduct product performance metrics and identify trends and provide customer insights through interaction with the sales team and other surveys to support strategic decision making. 8.Support in conducting training and providing sales tools for new product and promotion launches to the front-line staff of Retail Banking. 9.Support in developing marketing and sales tools to aid the front-line staff in achieving their financial targets. 10. Perform any other duties or responsibilities consistent with the role as assigned by the management. Education: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field. Experience: • Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar fields. • Good knowledge of the Retail Banking Products. Other Skills Required for the Job: • Strong Analytical skills with an understanding of market research and financial analysis. • Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Balances team and individual responsibilities. • Relationship management skills.
