Key Accountabilities • Build SJ/SMEC’s reputation as a leading consultant with a strong reputation for innovation, technical excellence, quality and project delivery; • Provide technical risk (and opportunity) governance to both proposals and projects to achieve reliable project performance in terms of sophistication, timeliness and quality (e.g. as Proposal/Project Director); • Support management to provide technical leadership to employees to ensure cohesion, optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development of technical staff; • Support management to achieve sustainable growth of the business through targeted client relationship management (CRM) and business development (BD) activity. Has The Demonstrated Ability To Consistently • Provide key technical expertise across a broad range of high profile projects; • Manage risk on substantial projects; • Apply safety in design practices and processes; • Deliver best client outcomes which have resulted in cost savings; • Establish and maintain client relationships; • Bring in new business through business development activities; • Building technical capability of others; • Provide expert advice and undertake key high level and complex technical tasks with a high degree of independence across a broad range of medium to large projects; • Successfully monitor and manage the scope and risk of multiple complex and varying size projects and apply business systems; • Prepare high level complex technical reports and prepare successful proposals on medium to large projects; • Utilise excellent time management skills with the ability to efficiently plan workloads and meet deadlines; • Effectively work across a variety of projects continuously learning and applying new skills and knowledge quickly and efficiently; • Effectively manage client relationships and expectations • Provide leadership, supervision and coaching to other staff; • Effectively engage key stakeholders to result in superior project outcomes which meet or exceed client expectations.
