Senior Site Electrical Engineer

Job Purpose Senior Site Engineer is a senior role within the building services project team, the person undertaking this role is a technical authority in chosen discipline and a leader within the team. They are self-motivated, support the project manager with delivery of project scope and provide training and coaching to the team. Qualification • MEP / Building Services Engineering Degree / BSc Electrical Engineering • Minimum 10 years of job-related experience • CSA Grade 5 qualified, desirable but not essential • Certified Commissioning Authority with BCA, ACG or NEBB, desirable but not essential • Experience in UAE, knowledge in local regulations and international standards. General Expectancy • Extensive experience and high-level competencies in specialised areas. • Contributes valuable insights to projects. Responsibilities • Independently conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, health and safety and applicable standards • Review shop drawings, red marked drawings, as built drawings, method statements, technical submittals against project specifications and documentation. • Prepare reports such as NCR, SOR, snag list and RFIs. • Review contractor BIM clash detection for any major issues. • Assess whether test procedures and recorded results demonstrate compliance with project specifications and industry codes of practice • Assist with reviewing project documentation for compliance with project specifications and industry codes of practice • Report issues found to senior team members in a clear, accurate and concise manner • Liaise with contractors and its commissioning team in a professional manner • Monitor installation, submittals and use of engineering tools adhering to project and commissioning guideline • Participate in coordination meetings and workshops when required • Technical authority and leader within the project team and division • Support, mentor, and train colleagues • Track completion of tasks, prepare lookaheads and trackers for project milestones • Keep daily diary of events and activities under your control, including systems inspected, documents reviewed, and any decision made by authorities on site • Coordinate with other site supervision engineers (mechanical, ID, etc.) for the site coordination of related services.
